Fallout 3. You do not have to say more to describe how the new Fallout era was initiated. Previously, a game in which one looked down from above at the protagonist, one is now suddenly in the middle of the action.
You are a Vault resident, born and raised in a bunker that protects you and your roommates from the outside world. But the dream of security is also the nightmare of constant surveillance and imprisoned life. After your father has disappeared and almost killed you decide to make yourselves in search of your father and leave the vault. So from now on you wander through the wasteland and in Washington D.C. which arose after a catastrophic nuclear war to find your father.
In the Badlands, you'll find new equipment, as it would be in a classic RPG, do mutants, beasts, and madness, collecting experience to level and unlock new skills. Of course, there are also neat quests you have to fulfill. This is a huge open world world, from the Atomar contaminated desert, through dark subway tunnels to the destroyed city center of the former US capital.
The graphics are very good at the time, the atmosphere, in contrast to its successor Fallout New Vegas, extremely gloomy and oppressive and the battles often run very brutally.
Fallout 3 is an absolute must for all fans of the end time setting and also for RPG fans highly recommended.
