Best Games of 2016

EA Black Box along with Electronic Arts is bringing you the latest title in the Need For Speed franchise called, Need For Speed: The Run. This is number 18 in the series so you know this game is past the legendary status to something beyond. Using the Frostbite 2 engine, this PC game is due out on November 15, 2011. The game is developed for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo 3DS and maybe Best Games of 2016.. This time around this game looks like something from an action movie that has a serious and interesting plot. It’s the direction and plot that brings in the attention as it’s all about being on the run hence the title. You have to make it by stealing cars and escaping at high speeds through a bunch of cities in an open world high speed chase that is full of bullets flying, cops, helicopters, motorcycles and more. The engineering on this race game makes it more like a James Bond action thriller than just a racing game and the graphics serve it well but also show signs of a common problem with racing games where the graphics attention is more on the machines than the characters. You see the same in comic books too as some artists can draw cars but not people and some can draw people but not cars. You’ll see this issue in other racing games too. The thing that saves the games like these is what’s found in this latest in the Need For Speed franchise and that is details of the cars and the physics and the environments. If you want to be a hot shot terrifying racing driver with the heat on your tail, guns blazing and explosions every other minute like in a Michael Bay movie then this is a game for you. You’ll also have the mob after you so there’s nowhere that seems to be safe in this game. Hardcore fans have been debating left and right about the gameplay but the longevity of this series from simulator to major motion picture like entertainment using state of the art video game technology makes it a must have for old fans and newbies to the series. It’s just hair raising shoot em’ up action and drama which calls for you to know your cars, their capabilities and your own skills. This isn’t where fear is part of the gameplay as you’ll see once you get behind the wheel. It calls for observation and reflexes and knowing the AI once you get involved. Unknown is the range of vehicles in this edition. Sure there are the high end sports cars like Ferraris, Lamborghinis and the like, but the game could benefit from some ordinary vehicles that can be put through their paces. In a dramatic game situation that you get here if you’re moving from one vehicle to another you’re not always going to leap from a Lamborghini, run over the tops of three buildings and suddenly find a Ferrari sitting there waiting for you to steal. More than likely you’ll find a car that’s a bit on the normal side of the line. So fans will have to wait to see what surprises the game has in store for them. We cant wait to see if this becomes one of the best racing games of the year for PC. So in synopsis, this game has you trying to get from San Francisco to New York by driving like a maniac while cops, mobsters and other people who don’t want you alive are in hot pursuit. You’ll have enough competition with your friends too and others in the community as you jam with the High Octane Multi-Player Racing option. This option is huge, one of the biggest and best in the gaming world. You can start new races, join others already in progress, and also connect to the autolog to check stats and see how you rank with friends and competitors. So here you’ll be racing at top speeds through cities, lots of cities, and dangerous and treacherous roads in harsh weather and more. If you can handle the nerve wracking speeds, bullets, bombs and sometimes rotten road repair you’ll be enjoying yourself for years with this game. Best Games of 2016? Best Video Game? Best PC driving game? Time will tell, and we sure cant wait to find out
