“Melissa” (1972) from Best Gregg Allman Songs

It took almost 300 attempts for Gregg Allman to write a song for Allman Brothers band that would be worthy enough to end up in an album. Inspired by a simple visit to a grocery store and an old Spanish lady, he completed a song that became the second single of their album Eat a Peach.
