The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (Polish original title: Wiedźmin 3: Dziki Gon, German: Der Hexer 3: Wilde Jagd) is a computer game of the Polish developer studios CD Projekt RED. It was released on May 19, 2015, as a successor to The Witcher (2007) and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (2011).
Like its predecessors, The Witcher 3 is based on the sorcerer's romance series by the Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. In the center of the game is again the wizard Geralt of Riva, in the search for his drawing-house Ciri, which is on the run from the title-giving "wild hunt". In the game the specially developed game engine "Red Engine" is used in the version 3.
