I don't know about 3 years ago, but Wendy's kicks ass now! I try not to eat a lot of "fast food", but about once every 10-14 days we treat ourselves to it, usually after a busier-than-usual day. At first, we only went to In 'n' Out, but we decided to give Wendy's a try; boy, was I g lad we did! Their burgers taste and have the texture of fresh-ground meat; it's the freshest meat I've ever had in a very casual setting, and that includes Applebee's and Chili's. The bacon really is thick-cut, and perfectly done. EVERY french fry is super-hot and just out of the fryer. I ordered a grilled chicken salad last week; every piece of lettuce was perfect, something I've never encountered at a fast food establishment. Their salads even have an option of accompanying quinoa, hummus, or feta. Even the vegetables on their burgers are consistently fresh. There's a Panera Bread across the road from one of the Wendy's we go to; at first, I'd go there to get something "healthier" for myself, before going to get burgers'n'fries for the rest of my family. That didn't last too long: every single time I've been there (5 times in all) they've been out of something; three of those times, they were out of my top 3 choices, so we just left. No, I'm not employed in any capacity by Dave Thomas. ;)
Chik-fil-A sponsors quite a few anti-gay and homosexual-reform organizations. Regardless of how good the food is, I refuse to eat there. They use to profit to infringe on other people's rights to live the lives they want and consistently push their Christian agenda. It's sad more people don't know this.

I know this too. They suck. In our community they give FREE FOOD to school teachers at local schools as a bribe to encourage kids to go to their local restaurant here and eat unhealthy! They are Christian bigots with an agenda. We don't patronize or support them in any way because of their agenda.
