I don't eat fast food. I like to see where my food comes from, cook and order my ingredients from my local shops according to my specifications. Ah..., no supermarket for me. Get back to basics. Women should take care of their families. Men have to work to provide the means.

2

KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken)

Kentucky Fried Chicken, more commonly known by its initials KFC, is an American fast food restaurant chain that specializes in fried chicken. Nice post I like how you gave all the background info and what your reasons/fav stuff about it. I live in Canada and do not have all those places, but I'm going with dary queen today lol

Mcdonald's sucks ass. The food is overpriced and too small. Kfc is horrible. Too many spices and the breading is too soggy from the grease. Would pick carl's jr and chicken express. Much better.

Here's some more fast food places that should be on the list # 5 Pick Up Stix #4 Chiplote #3 Del Taco #2 Whataburger and #1 In-n-Out. Honorable Mentions goes to Carl Jr, Tommy's,Pinks,Taco Time and Jack in the Box.

3

Burger King

Burger King (BK) is an American global chain of hamburger fast food restaurants. Headquartered in the unincorporated area of Miami-Dade County, Florida, the company was founded in 1953 as InstaBurger King, a Jacksonville, Florida-based restaurant chain. After Insta-Burger King ran into financial difficulties in 1954, its two Miami-based franchisees David Edgerton and James McLamore purchased the company and renamed it "Burger King". Over the next half-century, the company would change hands four times, with its third set of owners, a partnership of TPG Capital, Bain Capital, and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners, taking it public in 2002. In late 2010, 3G Capital of Brazil acquired a majority stake in the company, in a deal valued at US$3.26 billion. The new owners promptly initiated a restructuring of the company to reverse its fortunes. 3G, along with partner Berkshire Hathaway, eventually merged the company with the Canadian-based doughnut chain Tim Hortons, under the auspices of a new Canadian-based parent company named Restaurant Brands International.

I wish to live in US. In Poland there are only Mcdonalds,Burger King, Kfc and Pizza Hut. BUT WE HAVE BEST BEER's in the whole world ( type in google : Piwo Lech ,Piwo Tyskie, Piwo Żywiec) Do you have a Sphinx Restaurant in US? Sory for my english :P

As an Oklahoman, I need to correct two errors in the post. Sonic's Troy Smith opened his first car hop place in Shawnee, OK, rather than Stillwater. The first officially named Sonic Drive-in was in Woodward, OK, rather than Woodard.

Someone really bored and obese must have come up with this list. Fast food is nothing more than an awful slow death. We get more than enough ads for these sorry excuses for food establishments. What a waste of a list!

4

Dairy Queen

Dairy Queen, often abbreviated DQ, is a chain of soft serve ice cream and fast food restaurants owned by International Dairy Queen, Inc, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. International Dairy Queen, Inc. also owns Orange Julius and Karmelkorn

Gawd, what a disgusting slob you must be, brotherman, or perhaps I should say Idiotdude. People like you are what all too frequently gives Kentuckians a bad name. Please, never tell anyone you are from Kentucky again. You order a 10 piece bucket of chicken for yourself? 2 Big Bufords with a Milkshake? A Triple Whopper with cheese and then you upgrade to the large size fries and drink? You must sweat meat and weigh 600 pounds. You say Supersize Me got you off of McDonalds, then you eat the equivalent of a meal for 4 at KFC or White Castle by yourself? You ever hear of a salad? I think you may have missed the point of the movie, perhaps you should watch it again before you die of advanced coronary artery disease, which should be any minute now.

I love white castle, I especially liked it when Harold and Kumar ordered what i ordered one time in their movie, thats no joke, i had like 1,000 of those burgers, then the next day i had to get a new toilet.

I dont know why IN-N-OUT doesnt' go nationwide, they certainly have the money, everytime you go to one at lunch there is a line out the door, the only reason i can think why is because they want to keep the quality, another bonus is that the food is really cheap compared to other burger joints

5

Sonic Drive-In

Sonic Drive-In, more commonly known as Sonic, is an American drive-in fast-food restaurant chain based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As of August 31, 2016, 3,557 restaurants were in 45 U.S. states. In 2011, it was ranked 10th in QSR Magazine's rankings of the top 50 quick-service and fast-casual restaurant brands in the nation (moving the 13th for 2015 and 2016). Known for its use of carhops on roller skates, the company annually hosts a competition to determine the top skating carhop in its system.

The only place I ever saw Zaxby's was in Columbia, South Carolina. I seriously should open a franchise here in London. I may even open to the public. Nope - just keep it all for me. :o)

The person who compiled the list has obviously never been to In N Out Burger. Annual surveys by various organizations including Consumer reports and Zagat, always list them as number one or two as best fast food burger chain in America. I've been eating their burgers for fifty-three years now and I pity the poor fool that has never known the orgasmic joy of a Double-Double with grilled onions. THAT'S WHAT A HAMBURGER'S ALL ABOUT!!

Fuck yeah. That place is ALWAYS full and packed. I remember them opening one by my outdoor mall and there was a line going on for miles. Probably the whole city was there.

6

Taco Bell

Taco Bell was founded by Glen Bell, who first opened a hot dog stand called Bell's Drive-In in San Bernardino, California in 1946 when he was 23 years old. In 1950, he opened Bell's Hamburgers and Hot Dogs in San Bernardino's West Side barrio. According to Gustavo Arellano, author of Taco USA: How Mexican Food Conquered America, Bell watched long lines of customers at a Mexican restaurant called the Mitla Cafe, located across the street, which attracted a dedicated customer base for its hard-shelled tacos.

Ah well, I was hoping to see Jack in the Box when reading the list, but I guess it just wasn't good enough to be in the list. It's still my favorite fast-food restaurant. Though I'm also surprised Wendy's isn't on here either.

Hello, thank you for your post! you are presenting great information. It is important for international travelers to learn about various places to eat in a new country. At Fox Rent A Car Blog we wrote a similar post to help our international readers when planning their trip to the US. Thanks again for sharing

you know there is fastfood outside of the USA as well! If any of you ever visit South Africa go grab a King Steers Combo, one of the best burgers ive ever had plus the combo is relatively cheap, at 40 Rand its just over 3$, also Nandos (available in most of Southern Africa and England) make one hell of a peri peri chicken

You sadly left out Weinerschnitzel. As for Wendy's, I was actually served a raw chicken sandwich by them, because their drive thru crew wasn't paying attention. The really scary part was that it was thawed, and they drop the chicken in the oil frozen. I must admit, their insurance company was nice to me.

Gosh I miss these places but they are just unhealthy and horrible overall in what they put in there. Haven't eaten since I was 17 years old so around 4 years now. I only eat Cheddar's and Olive Garden restaurants from time to time, maybe once every 2 months.

I do not even know the way I ended up right here, but I thought this publish was once good. I do not recognize who you are however definitely you are going to a well-known blogger for those who are not already. Cheers!

White Castle

White Castle is an American regional hamburger restaurant chain in the Midwestern and Mid-Atlantic United States, generally credited as the country's first fast-food chain. It is known for its small, square hamburgers. Sometimes referred to as "sliders", the burgers were priced at five cents until the 1940s and remained at ten cents for years thereafter. For several years, when the original burgers sold for five cents, White Castle periodically ran promotional ads in local newspapers which contained coupons offering five burgers for ten cents, takeout only.

Its such as you read my thoughts! You appear to grasp a lot about this, such as you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you just can do with some percent to drive the message house a bit, but other than that, that is wonderful blog. A fantastic read. I'll definitely be back.

In 1948, they reorganized their business as a hamburger stand, using production line principles. The first McDonald's franchise using the arches logo opened in Phoenix, Arizona in 1953. Businessman Ray Kroc joined the company as a franchise agent in 1955 and subsequently purchased the chain from the McDonald brothers. Based in Oak Brook, Illinois, McDonald's confirmed plans to move its global headquarters to Chicago by early 2018

There is no way Chick-fil-a is the best. I've seen what they do behind the scenes... I will never eat there again. Advertisments are good but what they do to the food is gross.

Many of the posters on this site are crude, foul-mouthed and totally ignorant of their subject matter. They really should keep their useless comments to themselves. And to the poster who stated that White Castle is known as "Crystal" down south, they are two separate companies with no affiliation. Also, it's "Krystal" with a K, not a C. Kindly learn how to spell, people.

Sonic drive in is the best you just got love thier cherry limaed and sonic cheese burger it's classic especialy with tots and also the 'SONIC BLAST' maid with MNM and reese's I love it.Please reply on my email address.

Subway

Subway IP Inc. is a privately held American fast food restaurant franchise that primarily sells submarine sandwiches and salads. It is owned and operated by Doctor's Associates Inc., doing business as Subway IP Inc.

Chik-fil-A sponsors quite a few anti-gay and homosexual-reform organizations. Regardless of how good the food is, I refuse to eat there. They use to profit to infringe on other people's rights to live the lives they want and consistently push their Christian agenda. It's sad more people don't know this.

Guys have no right to marry each other just like I have no right to marry my sister. FYI I bet you have no problem with companies supporting pro-gay organizations.

Really? I guess you think that someone with traditional, Judeo-Christian values is as bad as an Islamic terrorist? I mean, I can see boycotting a company that sponsors terriosm.

I'm not sure what other places around the world have one, but Jungle Jim's is a favorite around here in Newfoundland, Canada. They serve the waffle fries too. They have a chair in the restaurant that has something to do with being a Wing King ; the person who can eat the most of their signature wings in one sitting. With a great decor, complete with bamboo everything and jungle creatures roaming the walls, its a nice place to eat, I must say (:

How the fuck is McDonalds,Subway,Taco Bell, Burger King, and KFC on the list and In n' Out not on this. In n' Out is undisputedly the best fast food restaurant not only in the US but in the world.

Subway was more awesome when you could get a free 12" sub after 10 purchases. Even though Subway uses processed meat, it's still meat. I would challenge any burger franchise to say they don't use fillers like bread crumbs and oats to bulk up their hamburger patties.

Mcdonalds shouldn't be on this list in my opinion. Everything tastes plasticy and its just plain bad for you, then again, so are the others but Mcdonalds is the worst.

It's worth mentioning that Dairy Queen also has some of the 'healthiest' fast food. Their burgers and fries typically have about 1/4 to 1/3 the saturated fat, sodium and cholesterol of most other fast food joints'. :)

Where's "Carol's"?? Okay, trick question since it only exists somewhere in the Netherlands now, but it was a great chain back in the day here in northeastern Pa and parts of other states, and served burgers that were a lot like McDonalds as I recall. The owners realized they couldn't compete with McD's and Burger King, so they let the chain die and became Burger King franchisees. I still remember the glaring orange color scheme of the restaurants.

I barred once for eating KFC reply to me if you ever bared for eating restaurant food okay because I'll give you some helpful words like what to do and what not to do would you please wish me happy birthday because it's tomorrow I will not be commenting on Wensdays or Sundays

Olive Garden is JUST as unhealthy, if not more, for you then any of these places! And I've never heard of Cheddar's, but I'm gonna take a wild shot in the dark and assume that anyplace named Cheddar's is also pretty unhealthy too! Have a freakin' burger or whatever the fuck ya want once in awhile! Olive Garden?? Are you kidding me???

Very nice post. I simply stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I've truly enjoyed browsing your blog posts. After all I'll be subscribing in your feed and I am hoping you write once more very soon!

no onions at chick fil a. how the hell do you eat a spicy chicken sandwich that has no onions on it? i have yet to eat anything there except breakfast. when i go there for lunch i forget they have no onions. i order the spicy chicken and say i want lettuce and onions only. when they say they dont have onions i drive away.

Quit making A&W in the same kitchens as Long John Silver's. If I want burgers and fries that taste like fish, I'll order from the LJS menu!

In N Out is easily the best chain in the United States, be real with yourselves. In N OUT #1 and then Five Guys #2, and never tell me Five Guys is better than In N Out because thats a lie! Only thing Five Guys has that beats In N Out is their fries, but thats my opinion.

These are phony stats NOT based in any facts with any customer survey results. It is basically a clever promotion for Chick Fil A which LIED here. Not unusual for a self proclaimed corrupt Christian organization.

I don't know about 3 years ago, but Wendy's kicks ass now! I try not to eat a lot of "fast food", but about once every 10-14 days we treat ourselves to it, usually after a busier-than-usual day. At first, we only went to In 'n' Out, but we decided to give Wendy's a try; boy, was I g lad we did! Their burgers taste and have the texture of fresh-ground meat; it's the freshest meat I've ever had in a very casual setting, and that includes Applebee's and Chili's. The bacon really is thick-cut, and perfectly done. EVERY french fry is super-hot and just out of the fryer. I ordered a grilled chicken salad last week; every piece of lettuce was perfect, something I've never encountered at a fast food establishment. Their salads even have an option of accompanying quinoa, hummus, or feta. Even the vegetables on their burgers are consistently fresh. There's a Panera Bread across the road from one of the Wendy's we go to; at first, I'd go there to get something "healthier" for myself, before going to get burgers'n'fries for the rest of my family. That didn't last too long: every single time I've been there (5 times in all) they've been out of something; three of those times, they were out of my top 3 choices, so we just left. No, I'm not employed in any capacity by Dave Thomas. ;)

I know this too. They suck. In our community they give FREE FOOD to school teachers at local schools as a bribe to encourage kids to go to their local restaurant here and eat unhealthy! They are Christian bigots with an agenda. We don't patronize or support them in any way because of their agenda.
