Top Secret Weapons in Games

With as much time as it takes to make the average video game, it's amazing that developers are still able to implement items into them that most players are not meant to find. Everything from credits to pop culture cameos have been hidden inside your favourite titles as easter eggs and references, but some of the most fascinating are always wieldable weapons. It's not only more exciting when the thing you aren't supposed to have found can be used on your enemies, but the general rule is that the deeper a weapon is hidden, the better it must be. Sometimes it even feels like a shame that the greatest and most creative of game weapons are kept so far out of reach from most average players. Then again, a big part of the appeal to these weapons is that they aren't meant for everyone. Most require significant amounts of creativity, skill, effort and time to find, but once you know they exist, it makes a whole host of incredible titles even better..

1

Psychosis Gun

he Psychosis Gun is a secret experimental weapon found in Perfect Dark and Perfect Dark Zero. It carries 8 rounds in the magazine like the Tranquilizer (whose model and ammunition it shares), though it's impossible to have a full magazine under normal circumstances. It's the only weapon that is unaffected by the Unlimited Ammo cheats, the only weapon without a secondary function (other than the weapons from Goldeneye), and the only weapon unavailable in the Combat Simulator and the Firing Range (for obvious reasons). This weapon also does no damage whatsoever.

2

Alien Blaster

The gun is very futuristic in appearance, with a chrome and red paint job. It fires blue bolts of energy and deals 50 damage without any pistol perks. With maximum levels in Science! this weapon can be modified to run using fusion cells. This reduces the damage by two points, but extends the battery size and allows for continued use of the weapon once its standard ammo cells are depleted.

3

It also has many different effects and animations depending on the map being played.
