Threaded Cane from Best Bloodborne Weapons
One of the trick weapons of the workshop, commonly used by hunters on their duties. Sufficiently deadly as a rigid bladed cane, but also serves as a whip when its blade is split into many. Concealing the weapon inside the cane and flogging the beasts with the whip is partly an act of ceremony, an attempt to demonstrate to oneself that the bloodlust of the hunt will never encroach upon their soul.

I hear a lot of people complaining about how it has lower damage than the other starting weapons. The cane form is incredibly fast and can stun lock most smaller enemies and some larger ones, the whip form is great for crowd control because you can easily hit every member of a group of enemies and it has deceptively long range, lastly it has better scaling than the other two weapons so it is better the longer you stick with it.
In whip form it has a 20% damage bonus against beasts and in cane form it has a 20% damage bonus against unholy creatures such as the forsaken cainhurst spirits and the lost children of antiquity (the bat things in cainhurst)
Great against bosses like Amygdala and Vicar Amelia. Attacks do damage to things above them so it is useful when trying to reach their heads for a stagger. Also, since it has a good wide reach, it can hit arms and legs of these types of bosses consecutively.
When I was choosing my first weapon the cane had the lowest attack witch made me think that it was fast so i chose it omg i love it best starter weapon in my opinion psn MAXGOREAL
The reason is because people are retards. I just beat the game and the weapon A scales with Skill and B scales with Arcane. By far my favorite weapon in the game.
I don't think I have ever seen a specter wielding the threaded cane. Maybe there is a reason for that.
Really good starting weapon. Kinda crap against armor but great for taking out a group of weaker enemies.
i chose this weapon and it may be on stat the weakest but still one of the best. i can kill at most around 5 or six people at the same time, it has a lunge that idk how to activatebut u just jump and slam it down. the whip has good range, as in im untouchable but i can still hit you. the cane needs an animation, my dude look fire with the cane and top hat
I chose this weapon from the get go and it is AWESOME! The cane is a strong 1v1 weapon and the whip form can hit about 3 or 4 bunched up enemies per swing... and you get to stand at a distance making retreat very easy!
Keep it Classy, start fights with this in Antique Shops and Gardens... oh don't fight in Clinics., that's not classy.. of course you DO fight on those unhonorable places when you start the game.
