BEST DIGIMON GAMES

A huge number of people born in the late 80`s - early 90`s remember well teenage subcultures of Pokemon, Shaman King, Mortal Kombat, and others. But only true fans understand what is at stake when people talk about Digimon and Digimon games. The uniqueness of the franchise was that Digimon started as a media franchise. At the very beginning, there were only small devices named Digimon (a short for Digital Monster). It was like an upgrade of Tamagotchi where you could not only feed and clean up after your virtual pet but also organize battles between different pets. And right after that, because of the great popularity of Digimon devices, the owners decided to start creating manga, anime and video games based on Digimon. List of the best Digimon games may include both known and unknown to most people video games. But all of them are connected with an inherent unique magic.

1

Digimon World

Our list of Digimon games closes the very FIRST video game about Digimon world. The game tells us about Fire Island, nature of Digimon. A plot is based on a story of a young boy who is drawn into Digimon digital world because of his V-Pet device. He has to travel around the island to the Infinity Mountain and confront the antagonist, Analogmon.

2

Digimon World Data Squad

Well, it definitely can be one of the best Digimon game ever. There are Seven Great Demon Lords in the game. This game was classified as “a specific form of RPG.” For me, the best part of this game is that you can influence the plot of the game: the Digimon partners are addicted to treatment provided by the player.

3

Digimon Racing

In 2004 franchise of Digimon games was supplemented by Digimon Racing. The plot of the game wasn`t actually a traditional one, it was connected with the race video games plot. But you still were able to choose from eleven playable Digimon characters to over 40. And sometimes it has a lot of fun to race cars driving by Digimon.

4

Digimon 4

Digimon series list isn't complete without mention of Digimon 4. It was based on the 2005 Digital Monster X-Evolution. The plot of the game was about a computer virus that infects a lot of Digimon. Digimon 4 traditionally was an action role-playing game with elements of digital pet games.

5

Digimon Rumble Arena

Fans of Digimon anime say one of the best Digimon games was Rumble Arena, because it was based on beloved anime characters. In fact, it was a crossover video game of the Digimon Adventure and Digimon Tamers seasons. Players could choose from 24 characters (only 9 are unlocked at the start) to get into the fight.

6

Digimon World 3

Maybe the best Digimon game in terms of a script is Digimon World 3. The game tells us about Junior who just started playing “Digimon online” when suddenly terrorist attack happened and Junior with other players fall into the trap inside the game and have to collaborate with Digimon partners to find a way out.

7

Digimon Heroes

Digimon Heroes is a video game for a smartphone that contains an incredible list of all Digimon. There are over 1,000 characters you can pick up to create your own fight team and go to battle! The variety of characters makes this game definitely a masterpiece of the Digimon video game universe.

8

Digimon Battle Online

Best Digimon series were always based on online multiplayer. Released in 2002 Digimon Battle Online provided players with a role-playing game between 2 and more devices. The player could name one of the four main tamers: Takato Matsuki, Rika Nonaka, Henry Wong, or Jeri Katou.

9

Digimon Adventure

Generally, it will be a great lie to say Digimon Adventure is the best Digimon game. It is based on the very first Digimon anime series with the same name and tells us about the story of the 1999 anime series. At the beginning, only seven characters are available. I put this game at the end of our list.

10

Digimon World Championship

Our “Digimon list” opens by Digimon World Championship. It was released in 2008 for Nintendo. Actually, it`s not an official part of the Digimon World sub-series of role-playing games, but it provides players a chance to feed, raise and carry about their Digimon to use them in battles.
